Soccer Recap: Bassett Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pomona on Wednesday, Bassett came back down to earth. The Olympians lost 4-1 to the Edgewood Lions on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Edgewood this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on January 14th.

Bassett's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Edgewood, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bassett will challenge rival Ganesha at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Edgewood is set to square off against their familiar foe Pomona at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
