Recap: Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF vs. Emporia Spartans

Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 58-29 defeat at the hands of Emporia. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF has scored all season.

Emporia had a senior duo take command as Cooper Rech scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals and Sheldon Stewart scored ten points along with six assists and two steals. That's the first time this season that Rech grabbed two or more steals. Calvin Seeley was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.

Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Emporia, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF will be playing at home against Veritas Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Emporia will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Junction City/St. Xavier at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th.
