Volleyball Recap: Houston Christian Comes Up Short

Houston Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Montgomery Bears.

Montgomery can attribute much of their success to Ava Collins, who had five digs and two aces. Collins has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 34 times she's played.

Houston Christian now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Montgomery, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Houston Christian will take on Kinkaid in a tournament on Friday. As for Montgomery, they will head out on the road to square off against Splendora at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
