The Southeast Alamance Stallions will face off against the Eastern Alamance Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Southeast Alamance is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.5 runs per game this season.
Southeast Alamance took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Graham a 15-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Stallions considering their two-run performance the match before.

Tatum Shelton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).
In other batting news, Addison Reich was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Anna Thomas was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Southeast Alamance hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Eastern Alamance sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over Cedar Ridge on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Fighting Red Wolves: they've now won nine in a row.
Delani Straughan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Kinley Henderson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Mckenzie Blevins, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
Eastern Alamance's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Southeast Alamance, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Saturday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Southeast Alamance hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. However, it's not like Eastern Alamance struggles in that department as they've averaged .322. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
