Central Valley extends home losing streak to 16

Recap: Central Valley Falcons vs. Red Bluff Spartans

After flying high against Bethel Christian last Friday, the Central Valley Falcons came back down to earth. Central Valley was outmatched by Red Bluff at home and fell 68-25. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Central Valley has scored all season.

Loss or not, Central Valley got some senior leadership from Vincent Vanpal who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and five steals and Kanin Harris who scored six points along with five rebounds. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Red Bluff to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zachary Stephens, who scored 14 points along with four steals. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Ryan Ross was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.

Central Valley's loss was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-12. As for Red Bluff, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.

Central Valley will take on Trinity at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Carver Dresselhaus and Vanpal. As for Red Bluff, they will be playing at home against Weed at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Weed presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Red Bluff in California (Weed is ranked 229th, while Red Bluff is ranked 856th).
