Softball Recap: Lebanon Warriors vs. South Albany Redhawks

Lebanon won the last time they faced South Albany, and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Lebanon Warriors had just enough and edged the South Albany Redhawks out 9-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lebanon.

Tatum Cole spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and three unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Mahala Pyle was incredible, going 1-for-2 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Makayla Padilla, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

On South Albany's side, Emily Tschida made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Angel, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.

Lebanon is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. As for South Albany, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
