Basketball Recap: Mountain Ridge Beats Desert Ridge for Their Fifth Straight Win

Mountain Ridge had won four straight games and Jaiden Thompson did his part to make it five on Friday. The Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Desert Ridge Jaguars, sneaking past 57-55 thanks in part to Thompson, who went 9 of 15 on his way to 20 points. The match was his sixth in a row with at least ten points.

Mountain Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.6 points per game. As for Desert Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
