Recap: Bensalem Fighting Owls vs. Souderton Indians
The Bensalem Fighting Owls lost against the Souderton Indians back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Bensalem was beaten by Souderton 49-14. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bensalem in their matchups with Souderton: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Bensalem saw an underclassman step up: Thomas Bailey picked up 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Bailey's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards.
Souderton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Danny Dyches led the charge by rushing for 25 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 74 receiving yards. Hayden Swartley got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Bensalem's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Souderton, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Bensalem does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Souderton will be playing at home against Pennsbury at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
