Basketball Recap: Monmouth Academy Takes a Loss

Monmouth Academy was the 50-30 winner over Old Orchard Beach when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Monmouth Academy Mustangs received a blow on Friday as they fell 42-26 to the Old Orchard Beach Seagulls. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monmouth Academy's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-6. As for Old Orchard Beach, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monmouth Academy will challenge Madison at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Old Orchard Beach, they will take on Waynflete at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
