Soccer Recap: St. Mary's Comes Up Short

St. Mary lost against Salida back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirates came up short against the Spartans, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, St. Mary's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 218th, while Salida are ranked 62nd).

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Salida, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

St. Mary's wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 6-1 defeat against Colorado Springs Christian on the 21st. As for Salida, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Ellicott on the 18th.
