Baseball Game Preview: Whitfield Warriors vs. MICDS Rams

For the second straight game, Whitfield will face off against MICDS. The Warriors will square off against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Whitfield has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with eight straight defeats, while MICDS will come in with four straight victories.

Whitfield fell victim to MICDS and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Rams, falling 17-0.

For MICDS' part, James Snyder tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave Snyder a new career-high.

At the plate, MICDS got a massive performance out of Brian Gould, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Gould a new career-high. Leonard Triplett was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

MICDS always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whitfield only posted an OBP of .167.

MICDS' record is now 6-2. As for Whitfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
