Volleyball Recap: Wynot Blue Devils vs. Wausa Vikings
Wynot posted their biggest victory since September 12th on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Wausa Vikings. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Devils sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
One reason for the win was Wynot's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-13.
Wynot was led to victory by Sophia Geisen and Kenna Oligmueller. Geisen had six digs, three aces, and a kill, while Oligmueller had ten kills and nine digs. Oligmueller is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in the last six games she's played dating back to last season. Jordan Foxhoven was another key player, getting five kills and three digs.
Wynot has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Wausa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-17.
Wynot will face off against Bancroft-Rosalie on Friday. Wausa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
