Softball Recap: Clay-Battelle Comes Up Short

Clay-Battelle lost against Trinity Christian on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cee-Bees lost 18-2 to the Warriors. The Cee-Bees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clay-Battelle saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was McKenzie Watson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Clay-Battelle's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Trinity Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Clay-Battelle will face off against Toronto at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Red Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.69 runs per game on average), something the Cee-Bees will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Trinity Christian, they will square off against Canfield at 8:00 a.m. on Monday.
