Baseball Game Preview: Lomira Lions vs. Campbellsport Cougars

For the second straight game, Lomira will face off against Campbellsport. The Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lomira is on a four-game streak of home wins, Campbellsport a 12-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season), meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.

Lomira is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wisconsin's top teams: Campbellsport, who was ranked second at the time (Lomira was ranked 20th). The Lions blew past the Cougars 8-2 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

For Campbellsport's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trenton Schladweiler, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Campbellsport fell to 9-1. As for Lomira, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
