After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Montachusett RVT, Greater Lowell Tech was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Shawsheen Valley Tech Rams a 7-0 shutout. The Gryphons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by seven runs or more this season.

Not much got past Amaya Flood, who gave up just four hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Shawsheen Valley Tech off the board. Flood has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Cora Wilder was excellent, going 3-for-4 with four RBI. Hailey Normandie also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Greater Lowell Tech's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Shawsheen Valley Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coming up, Greater Lowell Tech will face off against Lowell Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Shawsheen Valley Tech, they will host Mystic Valley Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
