Softball Recap: Georgetown Comes Up Short

If Georgetown was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Avoyelles on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Georgetown Bulldogs came up short against the Leesville Wampus Cats on Saturday, falling 16-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Wampus Cats: they've now lost five in a row.

Georgetown now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Leesville, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgetown will welcome Peabody at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Georgetown is facing Peabody at the right time seeing as Peabody is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Leesville, they will square off against Hicks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
