Lakewood lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Largo, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's match. The Spartans took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-12 victory over the Packers. The Spartans pushed the score to 34-12 by the end of the third, a deficit the Packers had little chance of recovering from.

Lakewood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Khalan Davis out in front who rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Another back making a difference was Amir Smith, who rushed for 66 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries.

Lakewood didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kendrick Handy and Malique Harrell. Harrell got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Lakewood has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 45.5 points this season. As for Largo, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
