Basketball Game Preview: Sultana Sultans vs. Serrano Diamondbacks

The Sultana Sultans will venture away from home to take on the Serrano Diamondbacks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Sultana took a blow against Oak Hills, falling 81-51. While losing is never fun, the Sultans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1009th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 71st).

Meanwhile, Serrano posted their closest victory since December 26, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past Apple Valley 60-57.

Serrano's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Sultana, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Sultana came up short against Serrano in their previous meeting on January 14th, falling 60-51. Can Sultana avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
