Football Game Preview: Windsor Yellowjackets vs. Mt. Abraham Eagles

The Windsor Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to square off against the Mt. Abraham Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Windsor is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Springfield, who was ranked 20th at the time (Windsor was ranked 16th). The Yellowjackets took a 20-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cosmos on Saturday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 29, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Meanwhile, Mt. Abraham got themselves on the board against Missisquoi Valley on Saturday, but Missisquoi Valley never followed suit. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 68-0 win over the Thunderbirds. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Mt. Abraham's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Windsor, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything came up roses for Windsor against Mt. Abraham when the teams last played back in November of 2022, as the squad secured a 45-6 victory. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
