Volleyball Recap: Steeleville Finds Home Court Redemption Against Elverado

There's no place like home for Steeleville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Elverado Falcons 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since August 29th.

Josey Czapla paced Steeleville's offense, picking up seven kills. Czapla got some help from Elly Buch and her 16 assists. Sadie Conway controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

When it comes to explaining why Elverado lost on Thursday, don't look at Mylee Roberts. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and two blocks.

Steeleville's record now sits at 11-8. As for Elverado, they moved to 16-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Coming up, Steeleville will head out on the road to take on Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elverado, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Brownstown/St. Elmo on the 27th.
