Softball Recap: Watertown Purple Tigers vs. Smith County Owls

Watertown put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 15-1 margin over the Smith County Owls. Winning may never get old, but Watertown sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Kayla McGuire made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. McGuire was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Watertown let Alyssa Wood and Rachel Cromer loose on the outfield. Wood scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Cromer scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Harlie Phillips was another key contributor, going 4-for-4 with two RBI and a double.
