Georgetown Day had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Kellam on Saturday. The Mighty Hoppers put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Mighty Hoppers, who have now won seven games in a row dating back to last season.

Alexa Telly paced Georgetown Day's offense, picking up 15 kills. Telly got some help from Caycee Chhum and her 33 assists. Raquel Telly controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, Kellam still got an impressive performance from Giulia Alison, who had 19 digs. Alison has been hot, having posted 19 or more digs the last five times she's played. Riley Erwin also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Georgetown Day's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Kellam, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Georgetown Day has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Maryvale Prep on the 13th. As for Kellam, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against James Wood on the 13th.
