King and Freedom are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, King came up short against Jefferson and fell 8-3. The Lions have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

King saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Guillott, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Freedom lost 13-5 to Wharton on Tuesday.

Parker Crafton made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season.

King's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Freedom, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

King was able to grind out a solid win over Freedom in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, winning 8-5. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
