Volleyball Recap: Saugus Takes a Loss

Saugus lost against Salem on September 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sachems lost 3-0 to the Witches.

Saugus took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12, 25-20.

Saugus has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Salem, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Saugus will challenge rival Peabody Veterans Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Salem is set to take on their familiar foe Masconomet Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
