Mar Vista is 9-1 against Chula Vista since October of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Mariners will host the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Mar Vista and six for Chula Vista.

The final score came out to 25-16, 23-25, 25-20, 25-22.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Chula Vista and San Ysidro meet (six straight games heading into this one) and that held true again two weeks ago. The Spartans lost 3-0 to the Cougars.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-11, 25-10.

Mar Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Chula Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.
