Volleyball Recap: Bellingham Extends Winning Streak to Six

Bellingham entered their tilt with Ashland on Monday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Clockers by a score of 3-1. The Blackhawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Clockers, too.

Bellingham walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-21, 25-7, 22-25, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Sophia Soto, who had 15 digs and four assists.

Bellingham was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 29 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Bellingham's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Ashland, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bellingham is set to face off against their familiar foe Norwood at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ashland will take on rival Hopkinton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
