Baseball Recap: Rayne Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Rayne's offense. They came up short against the Episcopal Knights on Saturday, falling 6-0. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Wolves' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Rayne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lon Paul Moody, who went 1-for-4 with one double.

Rayne's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Episcopal, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rayne will welcome Breaux Bridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rayne is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Episcopal, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Parkview Baptist at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
