Basketball Recap: South Baldwin Christian Academy Takes a Loss

South Baldwin Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 39-24 to the Jones Christian Academy Warrior. The match was a 16-16 toss-up at halftime, but the Knights couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, South Baldwin Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Maggie Lee, who posted seven points in addition to 13 boards and six steals. Lee is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Jennings, who had five points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, South Baldwin Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

South Baldwin Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Jones Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

South Baldwin Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 41-12 defeat against Gulf Pointe Latin on the 10th. As for Jones Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-19 loss against Pensacola Christian Academy on the 10th.
