Softball Recap: Dansville Find Success

Dansville and St. Patrick pushed the score to 16-4 the last time they played St. Patrick, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Aggies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Shamrocks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Aggies have posted since April 22nd.

The result came thanks to Ryker Graf's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than 12 strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Katie Hamel, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Dansville's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for St. Patrick, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Coincidentally, Dansville and St. Patrick will both be playing Saranac the next time they take the field. The Aggies will host the Redhawks at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Shamrocks will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
