Recap: Wakulla War Eagles vs. Jefferson County Tigers
The Wakulla War Eagles can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past Jefferson County 35-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Wakulla has posted against Jefferson County since January 11, 2018.
It was another big night for Kyendra Thomas, who scored eight points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. Thomas is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Amariyah Donaldson, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Wakulla's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8. As for Jefferson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
Wakulla and Maclay will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Maclay has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Jefferson County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Aucilla Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Aucilla Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
