While Southwood's win against Maconaquah wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Braves on Monday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Natalie Sutphin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Rylee Thomas was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season.
Southwood's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Maconaquah, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
