Basketball Recap: White House Piles Up the Points Against Christian Community

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask White House). They claimed a resounding 84-35 win over the Christian Community Colts. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Blue Devils have posted since January 25th.

White House's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Louis Taylor led the charge by going 8 for 12 on his way to 18 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Taylor has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenny Holt, who posted ten points and five assists.

White House was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

White House has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Christian Community, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

White House and Christian Community could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. White House (ranked 252nd) will meet Christ Presbyterian Academy (ranked 88th) at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Christian Community (ranked 372nd) will meet Pleasant View Christian (ranked 115th) at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
