Soccer Recap: Cyprus Comes Up Short

Cyprus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Taylorsville Warriors who were credited with the win. The Taylorsville Warriors got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Cyprus Pirates' four. Cyprus were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Taylorsville earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Cyprus' goal came courtesy of Alberto Garcia, who's now up to two this season.

Cyprus' defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Taylorsville, with the victory, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 6-11.

Looking ahead, Cyprus will host Bonneville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Taylorsville, they will head out to take on Box Elder at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
