Basketball Recap: Archie Sets Scoring Season-High Against Lone Jack

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Archie). They snuck past the Lone Jack Mules with a 69-64 win on Wednesday. The Whirlwinds haven't had any issues with the Mules recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Despite the loss, Lone Jack still got an impressive performance from Cooper Shull, who went 8 of 20 on his way to 26 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Shull's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Nicholson, who posted ten points in addition to eight boards and seven assists.

Archie picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 6-9. As for Lone Jack, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Archie will host Appleton City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lone Jack, they will be playing at home against Orrick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
