Basketball Recap: Mapleton Takes a Loss

Mapleton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 78-54 to the Western Reserve Roughriders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Roughriders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 81-38 back in December of 2025.

Mapleton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Western Reserve, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Mapleton has already played their next contest, a 72-52 victory against Lucas on the 20th. As for Western Reserve, they will challenge New London at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Roughriders will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.17 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
