Basketball Recap: French Settlement Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

French Settlement won against Springfield last Thursday with 54 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The French Settlement Lions walked away with a 54-47 victory over the Sterlington Panthers. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on four straight.

French Settlement is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Sterlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. French Settlement will square off against St. Amant at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Amant knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully French Settlement likes a good challenge. As for Sterlington, they will take on Franklin Parish at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
