Winston Academy had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Eupora Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on Saturday.

Among those leading the charge was Maggie Burns, who had 15 assists and four digs.

Winston Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive matches.

Winston Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Eupora, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Winston Academy and Eupora will both be playing Heritage Academy the next time they take the court. The Patriots will head out to face the Patriots at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
