Volleyball Game Preview: Northwestern Tigers vs. Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs

Northwestern has gone 8-2 against Chetek-Weyerhaeuser recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Northwestern is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Hayward came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Northwestern, but Genna Kreuser wouldn't allow it. The Tigers put the hurt on the Hurricanes with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday with plenty of help from Kreuser, who had 17 digs and two assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Northwestern never let Hayward on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser hadn't done well against Cameron recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Comets 3-2. The game was the first time the Bulldogs have beaten the Comets on their court since October 8, 2020.

Northwestern's win bumped their record up to 21-8. As for Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, the victory got them back to even at 19-19.

Northwestern was able to grind out a solid win over Chetek-Weyerhaeuser in their previous meeting back in September, winning 2-0. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
