South County scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the Fairfax Lions, falling 15-9. The Stallions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

South County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Fairfax, they moved to 4-9 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Coming up, South County will venture away from home to square off against West Springfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairfax, they will welcome South Lakes at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
