Softball Game Preview: St. Clair County Fighting Saints vs. Pinson Valley Indians

The St. Clair County Fighting Saints will face off against the Pinson Valley Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Clair County will be strutting in after a victory while Pinson Valley will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, St. Clair County turned things around against Clay-Chalkville on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 8-1 win. The Fighting Saints not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14th.

Bella Banks was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Carman Garner was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Pinson Valley came up short against Leeds two weeks ago, falling 18-3. The Indians have struggled against the Greenwave recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

St. Clair County's victory bumped their record up to 19-13-1. As for Pinson Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
