Softball Game Preview: Woodsville Engineers vs. Sunapee Lakers

The Woodsville Engineers will challenge the Sunapee Lakers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Woodsville's favor as the squad sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Sunapee has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Woodsville is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Blue Mountain, who was ranked third in their home state at the time (Woodsville was ranked seventh). The Engineers fell 7-4 to the Bucks on Tuesday. The contest marked the Engineers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Sunapee lost 15-3 to Mascenic Regional on Wednesday.

Sunapee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Woodsville, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
