Recap: Westlake Christian Academy Eagles vs. Cristo Rey St. Martin Knights
The Westlake Christian Academy Eagles had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They secured a 48-44 W over Cristo Rey St. Martin. That's another feather in the cap for Westlake Christian Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Westlake Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Asa Anderson, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Grayson Howe, who scored 11 points along with 4 steals.
Despite the defeat, Cristo Rey St. Martin saw an underclassman step up: Lebron Massey scored 24 points along with 6 rebounds. The game was Massey's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chance Handy, who scored 10 points.
Westlake Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Cristo Rey St. Martin, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
