Dumont's win ends three-game losing streak on the road

The Dumont Huskies won the last time they faced the Fort Lee Bridgemen, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Dumont took down Fort Lee 55-40. Given Dumont's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Fort Lee is ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fort Lee lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Guy Vickers, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Jacob Greenberg, who scored nine points.

Dumont's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-5. As for Fort Lee, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Dumont will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridgefield Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Lee, they will head out on the road to challenge Paramus at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Paramus is on a five-game streak of home losses, Fort Lee a ten-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
