Basketball Game Preview: Houston Mustangs vs. Bartlett Panthers

Houston is 2-8 against Bartlett since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mustangs will challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Houston is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Arlington, who was ranked 14th at the time (Houston was ranked ninth). The Mustangs came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 70-63 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Bartlett came tearing into Saturday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 68-32 victory over the Dragons. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 21 points or more this season.

Houston's win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Bartlett, their victory bumped their record up to 25-4.

Houston might still be hurting after the 66-41 loss they got from Bartlett in their previous meeting last Saturday. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
