Softball Game Preview: McNary Celtics vs. South Salem Saxons

The McNary Celtics will challenge the South Salem Saxons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. McNary will be strutting in after a win while South Salem will be coming in after a loss.

McNary came out on top against Beaverton on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fourth inning. The Celtics blew past the Beavers 12-1. The Celtics might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for South Salem's offense. They came up short against West Salem on Monday, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Saxons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

McNary pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for South Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
