Volleyball Recap: Anderson Gets the Win

Anderson and Brookings-Harbor faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Saturday. The Cubs skirted past the Bruins 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cubs have posted since October 17, 2024.

Dayanara Lupercio-Orozco paced Anderson's offense, picking up four kills. Lupercio-Orozco got some help from Isabella Wyatt and her 13 assists. Finally, Renna Shriner kept Anderson's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

The victory made it two in a row for Anderson and bumps their season record up to 3-12. As for Brookings-Harbor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Anderson has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Willows on the 13th. As for Brookings-Harbor, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Eureka on the 13th.
