Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Freeman

Freeman came tearing into Thursday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 47-24 margin over the Kettle Falls Bulldogs.

Freeman was led to victory by Rylee Russell and Logan Pecht. Russell went 8-for-15 on her way to 19 points and three steals, while Pecht dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Russell is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylee Phelps, who posted six points along with six boards and five assists.

Freeman's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Kettle Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.

Coming up, Freeman will take on Northwest Christian School at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Northwest Christian School's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games. As for Kettle Falls, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-14 win against Chewelah on the 15th.
