After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marietta, Eastern was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Belpre Golden Eagles as they made off with a 16-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Ashlynn Thomas 2027 made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted over her last 11 games.
In other batting news, Eastern got a massive performance out of Rylie White 2027, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4.
