Soccer Recap: Alleghany Comes Up Short

Alleghany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Stokes Vikings. Alleghany were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Stokes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Alleghany's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for North Stokes, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Alleghany wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against East Wilkes on the 25th. As for North Stokes, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-0 victory against Mount Airy on the 25th.
