Football Recap: Western Alamance Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Western Alamance and South Granville squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Western Alamance had to settle for second. They took a 20-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Even if they lost, Western Alamance's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Jaylen Wilkerson produced another solid performance rushing for 88 yards and one touchdown for South Granville.

Western Alamance's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for South Granville, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6.

Western Alamance does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Granville, they will head out to square off against Rocky Mount at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Wilkerson and Tylik Harrell.
